Caffeine and Octane… what a combo huh?
Well, that’s what we experienced this morning.
We got up at 0-dark-30 and headed out in the Vette in 36 degree weather to be at IHOP at 6:30 AM. We met up with another Vette couple to suck down some of that requisite caffeine and some breakfast. (Dang! I keep forgetting about this blog stuff…so there is no photo of the delicious breakfast platters we enjoyed. I promise to be more focused on that kind of thing in the future.)
We arrived at the location for this monthly gathering of a whole slew of awesome vehicles. There were quite a few there already when we got there. Thankfully some other Vette buddies saved us some spots so we could all park together. I couldn’t even count the number of vehicles that were there. We saw everything from late model Cutlass 442s, Corvettes and Mustangs to brand new Ferraris, to 4X4 trucks lifted to the sky and Lamborghinis hugging the pavement. There were Porsches, Volkswagens, Lotuses and Cadillacs. It was simply put, sensory overload for a car guy (or car gal). Al was like a kid in a candy shop and that put a smile on my face to see him with this silly grin plastered on his face.
Talk about Shiny Fenders! (o:
